The domain of air and space law is in the nascent stage of development in India. The unfolding of aviation and space economy has widespread effects both on the global and domestic economies. Technological progress has led to a confluence of ideas from myriad fields such as international politics, environmental issues in the space sector like space debris, nuclear contamination, and so on. As India is an emergent player in the international commercial air and space market; important issues of control, authorisation and dispute resolution mechanisms need to be addressed.
The committee was established in 2021, in order to intrigue students to explore the field of Air and Space Law and to provide opportunities through various activities. It provides a forum for discussion of current Air and Space law issues, as well as an opportunity to interact with major stakeholders from various corporations operating in the same realm.
